Celebrate the 160th Anniversary of Juneteenth, when word of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation by President Abraham Lincoln finally reached African Americans in Texas, two and a half years after its signing. This is the fourth anniversary of the federal holiday.

The theme this year is “Lest We Forget.” 

Enjoy an evening out with family and friends on the lush and captivating grounds of Mystic Acres. Sloan Gourmet and staff will serve beef and chicken Hot dogs, as well as beef and veggie burgers. Condiments, chips, soda, and  water will be provided. This event is not a BYOB event. Alcohol is not allowed on the premises.

Get lucky and “take the cake” at the Cake Walk contest. We will spotlight the winners of the essay and poetry contests; And dance, dance, dance!! An unforgettable Juneteenth Celebration awaits you.
