It’s 300 plus members enjoy a variety of road trips, high quality educational, cultural, and social events designed to make retirement more adventurous and fun. Benefits of being an ACES member are numerous which include gaining an instant caring family, providing many opportunities to create, plan and lead events and activities, members receive discounts and early bird discounts on tickets to ACES Events, and provides a forum to support local schools and businesses and community causes.

OUR HISTORY...

In 2011, *Dr. Melinda Hayes retired and relocated to Sun City Peachtree. While there were clubs that promoted other cultures, she quickly recognized there were no clubs highlighting the African American experience. Therefore, in February 2011, she formed an interest group to promote African American cultural, educational, and social experiences.

Bernadette Murphy served as the first President of the interest group in 2012. The interest group became a Charter Club in 2016 under the leadership of President Gail Kelly. Ann Brown was elected the first president of the newly chartered club.

The founders of ACES are: Pat Beynum, Diana Berg, Gail Edwards, Mary Flowers, *Dr. Melinda Hayes, Clarece Jones, Deborah Land, Vera McIntosh, Bernadette Murphy, Joan Pannus, Mildred Slayton, *Joy Terrell

*Deceased
